DR. MAI MOUA
Meet Dr. Mai
Transforming Ways of Knowing and Being
Dr. Mai is a transformational coach, interdisciplinary consultant, facilitator, and author whose work helps leaders deepen how they know, relate, and lead.
THE WORK BEHIND THE WORK
Leadership is more than a role. It is how we show up, make meaning, build trust, and move with others through complexity.
For more than twenty years, Dr. Mai has worked alongside leaders and organizations across the nonprofit, public, educational, philanthropic, and business sectors — in seasons of growth, transition, conflict, and change. Her work spans leadership development, executive coaching, organizational culture, systems thinking, strategic change, facilitation, and communication.
Across her career, she has taught, facilitated, and spoken to more than 10,000 people across sectors and geographies, including audiences throughout the United States, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, South and Central America, and Canada.
She brings together the analytical and the human: the structures and strategies that shape organizations, and the deeper psychological, cultural, and relational patterns moving beneath them. Whether she is coaching an individual leader or guiding a team through realignment, the invitation is the same — to lead from a more grounded, whole, and connected place.
At the center of her practice is reflective learning: the conviction that insight matters most when it is lived. Real transformation, in her experience, is developmental — it unfolds over time, through practice, reflection, and integration.
MISSION
Guiding leaders through transformation from the inside out.
VISION
Leadership rooted in presence.
Guided by purpose.

what shapes the work
An Integrative Practice
Dr. Mai’s work is integrative by design. Rather than relying on a single model or method, she draws from leadership studies, depth psychology, cultural intelligence, systems thinking, Appreciative Inquiry, organizational development, transformational coaching, the Enneagram, MBTI, and embodied reflective practice. Together, these disciplines help illuminate how people think, feel, relate, lead, and change — especially in moments of complexity, transition, and growth.

APPROACH
Centering Leadership
Centering Leadership is one signature framework within Dr. Mai’s broader body of work — a way of helping leaders return to presence, relationship, and clarity in the midst of complexity. Its most accessible practice map, Body, Heart, and Head, offers a simple way to notice steadiness, connection, and clarity as leadership becomes lived practice.
